The Negev Classic Golf Tournament Winnipeg - August 16th, 2016
The Negev Classic Golf Tournament

On a picturesque August day the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Associates of Ben-Gurion University held its inaugural charity Golf Tournament, the Negev Classic at Glendale Golf & Country Club ... and it was a tremendous success in its first year!

The participants enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, camaraderie and most importantly learned about the wonderful work that BGU is doing to combat Autism. During the tournament they were treated to amazing food courtesy of WOW Hospitality and the Cookie Girl. Following the golfing portion of the day everyone in attendance enjoyed a wonderful buffet dinner accompanied by a video presentation and then most importantly, the prizes to conclude the evening.

The staff and board of the Manitoba chapter of CABGU worked extremely hard to put this tournament together and are all very happy with the results of this first outing. Work is already underway on next year's tournament which promises to be bigger and better in every fashion.

Annual Shabbat Dinner Celebrating the Arni Thorsteinson Exchange Program

On Friday, May 10th, CABGU Winnipeg hosted its annual Shabbat Dinner celebrating the Arni Thorsteinson Exchange program; a partnership between the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business and Ben-Gurion University’s Guildford Glazer School of Business Administration.

The Arni Thorsteinson Exchange Program provides the opportunity for university students from Manitoba and Israel to learn business practices and cultures of their respective countries. This dynamic Exchange Program would not exist without the continuous financial support from the Gerald Schwartz & Heather Reisman Foundation as well as from Arni Thorsteinson himself. CABGU Winnipeg is so grateful to be a part of this great learning and cultural exchange opportunity.
