The Negev Classic Golf Tournament first launched in 2016 has raised funds for Autism research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). Thanks to the amazing support of donors and sponsors the tournament to date has raised over $500,000.
With the re-launch of the tournament after COVID we have decided to change the focus to the environment and there is no better project than the School of Sustainability and Climate Change.
Your support will help raise funds for critical research projects at the new school that will benefit the entire world.
We have spent five decades learning how to thrive in the desert through problem-based research. Our researchers have tackled the challenges of water scarcity and food security, developed advanced energy and cooling technologies, and studied the effects of an increasingly hot environment on human health.
Strategically located in the Negev Desert, Ben-Gurion University has become a respected and sought after world leader in all matters related to desert research, water conservation and management, solar energy and food security.
As the environmental and climate emergency continues to be the world’s most pressing issue BGU has pooled its resources to create an interdisciplinary School of Sustainability and Climate Change; the only one of its kind in Israel.
The School’s activities focus on the urgency and complexity of climate-change challenges, bringing together 150 researchers across faculties and departments in a concerted effort to coordinate research, education and outreach.
