DONATE TO STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

BGU is the post secondary institution of choice for approximately 20,000 Israeli and international students. Turn their educational dream into reality by donating to one of the many available scholarship programs.

Undergraduate

A scholarship for a standard undergraduate degree at BGU is valued at $3,000 annually.  Most undergraduate programs take between three to four years to complete.

 

Master’s (STEM Fellowship)

The annual cost of tuition for a single year at a BGU Master’s program in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields is approximately $15,000. Most of these programs take two years to complete. STEM Fellowships are open to students from the School of Sustainability and Climate Change, and all other STEM fields.

 

Master’s

Students wishing to earn a Master’s degree in fields outside the STEM subjects can apply for a $10,000 annual scholarship. Master’s programs at BGU take two years to complete.

 

PhD (STEM Fellowship) -

The annual cost of tuition per year at a BGU PhD program in the STEM fields is approximately $25,000. Most of these programs take four years to complete. STEM Fellowships are open to students from the School of Sustainability and Climate Change, and all other STEM fields.

 

PhD

Students wishing to earn a PhD degree in fields outside the STEM subjects can apply for a scholarship valued at $18,000 annually. PhD programs at BGU take four years to complete.

 

Post Doctoral - $25k

$25,000 Post Doctoral scholarships are available to those wishing to continue their education beyond the PhD level. These programs can run between one to two years.

 

Albert Katz International School and International School for Desert Studies scholarships:

Master’s and PhD students attending the Albert Katz International School and the International School for Desert Studies can apply for $20,000 annual scholarships for tuition, housing and other living expenses. These programs can run between two to four years. Post Doctoral scholarships valued at $35,000 annually are also available. These programs run for one to two years.

 

International Master’s -

This $20,000 annual scholarship covers the cost of tuition for international students 

pursuing a Master’s degree. An additional donation of $8,000 per year can help cover living expenses. International Master’s programs typically take two years to complete.

 

International PhD - $25k

This $25,000 annual scholarship covers the cost of tuition for international students pursuing a PhD. An additional donation of $8,000 per year would cover living expenses. International PhD programs can take between two to four years to complete.

 

MD/PhD - $36k

An annual Medical Doctor scholarship of $36,000 is available for students studying in this field. This is typically a four year program.

PURCHASE LIFE CYCLE EVENT, JEWISH HOLIDAY OR TRIBUTE CARDS

One of the simplest ways to give to BGU Canada is by purchasing one or several of our beautiful cards. We offer a variety of greeting cards for different occasions including condolence, Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah, Passover, weddings, bar/bat mitzvah, thank-you cards and more. Each card costs $18 and funds raised through the sale of these cards go to student scholarships at BGU.

DONATE SECURITIES

Gifts of publicly traded securities, bonds or real estate are a great way to pay your BGU Canada pledge. When you donate your appreciated stocks and mutual funds, you save! A tax receipt will be issued for the fair market value of the gift at the time of the donation. For gifts of securities, you may also benefit from tax savings as the potential capital gains tax is eliminated.

ENDOWMENTS

An endowment is a long-term fund that is made up of a variety of financial, real estate or other investments.The purpose of this fund is to produce an annual payout for a specific purpose chosen by the person or people who have established the fund. It offers a permanent and often perpetual source of revenue, resulting in the ability for the organization to more accurately plan for the future. An endowment fund can be created through one-time donations or recurring payments.

Donors can create an endowed gift at BGU, where only the interest earned is distributed on an annual basis, in perpetuity. An endowment can provide a perpetual source of revenue enabling BGU to accurately plan for the future. A minimum donation of $100,000 is required to create an endowment through a one-time donation or recurring gifts.
