July 2022 News from Ben Gurion University Canada

Dear Friends,

Wishing you a Happy Canada Day (tomorrow) and an early Happy 4th of July to our neighbours and friends to the south! We have so many successes to celebrate this month, as you will note from my video message above and from the content of our July eConnect below.

Heading into the summer months, I am pleased to congratulate our "mothership," Ben-Gurion University of the Negev on a most impressive, informative and engaging Board of Governors which was held in the beautiful new Kedma Hotel in May. Canada was well represented by outstanding lay leaders and supporters who attended along with two of our Executive Directors and are all still raving about what an incredible event it was.

Speaking of events, congratulations to our regional boards in Montreal and Vancouver for executing beautifully on two successful gala events that brought out 750 attendees and together raised just about $1 million dollars. Scroll down to view images from both events.

At the end of this month, the Negev Classic Golf Tournament returns to Winnipeg after a two year hiatus caused by COVID. You'll find details in this newsletter about how you can participate in this July 26th charity golf tournament. Plus, in just a few days, Toronto will be launching ticket sales for the upcoming November 6th event, "The Future is Now Gala" featuring Michael J. Fox.

I wish you all a wonderful summer holiday and I will be in touch again in September!
