In early August, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) proudly announced the creation of a special scholarship for first generation post-secondary students. “First for a Degree” makes higher education more accessible to students whose parents never attended a university. It benefits students from Israel’s geographic periphery with a preference for those living in the Negev or those coming from underrepresented communities.
When you send a BGU Canada Rosh Hashanah card, you help first generation students and students from diverse backgrounds including Ethiopian, Russian-speaking and Bedouin students, to pursue their dream of receiving a university education.
Proceeds from the sale of Rosh Hashanah cards will support these student scholarships so they can focus on what matters most… their education.
