Dear Friend,
Summer 2022 is about to wrap up and it has been a busy one for us at Ben-Gurion University Canada (BGU Canada). From the 2022 Negev Classic in Winnipeg, to galas in Montreal and Vancouver, to a special donor celebration in Toronto, our Boards and Executive Directors have been hard at work.
As we approach the start of a brand new year, we have some exciting events lined up and we hope to see you there. In Toronto, tickets are on sale for "The Future is Now Gala" featuring Michael J. Fox. Scroll down to learn more and to get your tickets. Meanwhile, if you are in the Montreal area, you can purchase your tickets for the screening of "After Munich," an evening commemorating the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre which claimed the lives of 11 Israeli athletes. You can find a link to tickets below as well.
On behalf of my staff, I wish to take this time to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Rosh Hashanah! May it be a year of health, happiness and prosperity.

INTRODUCING:
The Ben-Gurion Research Institute
for the Study of Israel and Zionism

When David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first prime minister, passed away in 1973, an archive was established in a small underground space on the Sde Boker campus of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The archive was primarily for research purposes, and all of Ben-Gurion's papers were transferred to the IDF and State Archives.
Now, recognizing the importance of preserving those documents in Sde Boker and creating the first American style presidential library in Israel, Ben-Gurion University has constructed a new archives building.
